SMART - Goal Setting | Troop Equipment Rules | Job Descriptions | Responsibilities | Troop Equipment Check In / Out Procedure Troop Quartermaster The Troop Quartermaster keeps track of troop equipment and sees that it is in good working order. He keeps records of equipment, issues equipment and makes sure it is returned in good working condition and makes suggestions for new and replacement items. If you as the Troop Quartermaster, come across broken items, first, talk to the patrol leader of the patrol's gear it was in about it. If he has no idea of who broke the item then you must go to the senior patrol leader. Then, the senior patrol leader will tell the scoutmaster and he will settle the problem. Do not try to settle the issue yourself! Patrol QuartermasterThe Patrol Quartermaster keeps track of patrol equipment, You must work with your Patrol Leader and the Troop Quartermaster to schedule the time and man power necessary to pick up and return equipment needed for an outing. The Patrol Leader is responsible for letting you know what type of equipment is needed and getting the patrol members to help pick up and return the equipment. The only way to insure this is handled properly is for the Patrol Quartermaster to keep good records of equipment check-in and out. If the Scout fails to return the equipment, it is his responsibility not the Quartermaster to replace it.
